5th Annual Summer Family Fun Fest and Kid-Owned Business Expo

Join us for the 5th Annual Family Fun Fest. This year we are excited to announce that in addition to our usual line-up of kids activities and entertainment, we are also hosting our first ever Kid-Owned Business Expo.  This will be a chance for young entrepreneurs to showcase their business skills by selling products made by them or services provided by them. They will also have the opportunity to participate in our “Treasure Tank” Competition which is based on the popular TV show, "Shark Tank".  Kids can present their business concept, sales figures and growth ideas to our panel of “Treasure Hunters”. These are representatives from local businesses who are sponsoring the event at the $500 level. 
We still need a few “Treasure Hunters” for our panel. The top 2 businesses in two age categories (Teen Tank: Ages 12 – 17) and (Tiny Tank: Ages 11 and Under) will win a cash prize to help them grow their business. The title sponsor for the event is University of Louisville Family Business Center. Our nonprofit partner is Operation Parent. They provide a great variety of resources (handbooks, virtual meetings, speaker events and more) to help parents navigate some of the tough challenges and issues facing our young people today.
